Ah, good old Transformers. Anyone here remember the good old cartoon, that’s right, the most epic cartoon series ever to come to be. While we started with a good movie, the original Transformers, which was very limited in it’s budget for the CGI area, and ended up with an action packed animation machine movie; Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
Read on for the review
While the film is hard to follow, the action packed scenes keep you to your toes (or to sleep for the girls). The Decepticons are up to no good once again, and start to appear randomly throughout the world, starting with Bejing. Prime parachutes into the scene, and takes out the Decepticon demolisher who gives a warning about “The Fallen”. The film starts off two years before the previous, and after the Autobots have sworn to protect earth. N.E.S.T. (Networked Elements: Supporters and Transformers) has been formed with the leaders of the military squad from the previous movie. Throughout the few days, the Decepticons activity has picked up, causing for alarm for the N.E.S.T. team.
Meanwhile, Sam Witwicky (Shia Labeouf) has to put up with his old girlfriend, Mikaela Banes (Megan Fox), who is now thinking of breaking up. Sam finds a piece of the Allspark which puts nonsensical alien glyphs into his head and turns his kitchen into a living ground full of miniature Decepticons. While his house is being blown to bits, Sam runs outside and summons Bumblebee from his garage, who destroys the rubble, but blows the house up in the process.
After all the Decepticon activity in the past weeks, National Security Advisor Galloway comes into the N.E.S.T. base and rules out that the Autobots are a “national security”, and that the only reason for the attacks is that only because the Autobots remain on earth. Meanwhile, the Decepticons manage to hack into a military satellite and listen to all the current news.
Sam dismisses Bumblebee into leading a normal life once again, and to stop being a “garage pet”. College is the biggest attraction to Sam, and as soon as he arrives, he meets a lovely girl. In fact, he meets a hot human Decepticon Pretender Alice (think Terminator), who tricks him into getting the information in Sam’s brain. Oh, and in the meantime, Sam writes ancient coordinates on his college dorm, causing the whole college to go off.
If all this has not caught your mind in a shrivel, the movie also includes a sexy Rail Gun. A sinking of a Aircraft Carrier, and much more. The CGI on this movie is outstanding, no wonder it took them a few days to render a few frames of the movie (I’m not joking). Overall, it’s a great movie and worth the 10 bucks we have to pay today. The movie heads off to Egypt and the Pyramids where epic fights are held. The movie is great, see it, then buy it on DVD in all it’s HD wonderfulness.
