What is it?

“Google Trends is a public web facility of Google Inc., about Google Search, that shows how often a particular search-term is entered relative to the total search-volume across various regions of the world, and in various languages. The horizontal axis of the main graph represents time (starting from some time in 2004), and the vertical is how often a term is searched for relative to the total number of searches, globally.[1] Below the main graph, popularity is broken down by region, city and language. It is possible to refine the main graph by region and time period.”

Pick a Date!

You can also hit up Google Hot Trends, which will display a list of fourty trends for the current date. If you look up to the top left of the screen, you can change to date. It’s kinda like a history book isn’t it? You can check on any date (not too far back now) and see what happened! By the way, it only goes back to May 2007, so not too much you can actually look up! What a fail Google! D:

Are there other sites like this?

Of course there are silly! You can use the Alexa ranks too (my personal favorite)! You can find those trends at two different spots on the Alexa site. There is the “What’s Hot” section and the “Top Pages” section. Hopefully one day I’ll be up there! Though that will probably never happen! Poor me! Enjoy…

The most interesting one by far is the oil industries attempt to teach kids how oil is the great life line of our society, and that it’s a huge technological break through and everything should run on it. How To – Make a Wallet With Cards

It’s been a while since the last How-To project, but that’s because they generally take a lot longer then other posts. But, here you go, a simple way to create your own card wallet to impress your friends. This takes about ten minutes to make, and is VERY simple to create! This isn’t like a ductape wallet, you actually use the cards to support it instead of pure raw duct tape. Anyways, enjoy!

Create the frame…

Materials:

Clear Masking Tape
Eight normal playing cards

Steps:

First gather four cards and your silly roll of clear masking tap.
Tap across on both sides across the cards like the picture above.
Repeat this two times to create the same thing.

Tape it all around…

Steps:

Once you have two, turn them sidewards and tape the two ends together, then squeeze them together to form the “wallet” shape.
Tape the bottom together (to prevent stickiness from the inside).
Tape the two sides together to seal the wallet shape!
Clean up! Tape back over any spots that seem to be sticky still. Enjoy your wallet!
