After the Michael Jackson incident, which is still going under heavy investigation, we have yet another. Having dealt with the news of Jackson’s death, and dealing with the constant flow of news, I don’t know how much more I can take. Everyday I turn on the television to see different people’s opinions of Jackson’s life, and conspiracy theories on his death. Though the King of Pop is dead, just wait for this one…

Billy Mays have been found, dead, in Tampa Bay Florida today. After the Jackson news, which was very sad indeed, the King of Infomercials is dead. The current thing going around is that he took head trauma on a airplane from baggages on a overhead compartment landing on his head. Though it is unknown if this is actual the cause of his death, we will find out.

Let’s face it boys and girls, the man could sell anything in the world. From Oxy Clean to selling snowboards and life insurance, they all never worked, but sold incredibly thanks to one man. He was a great sales person, and I will truly miss him, if not more then Michael Jackson. Personally, I love the guy to death. He was the only commercials I would actually watch at midnight. He would suck me in.

So who will take his place? There is only one answer…. No one. But, there is a rising star that has had a troubled past. Vince Offer, the sales person for ShamWoW has made a big impact with his commercials full of bullshit. ”You following me camera guy”, that’s a funny one. But seriously, if you don’t laugh already from Vince asking you to chop his nuts. Then you fail! R.I.P Billy Mays, you will be missed on the television…

Bored Original – Where to Buy or Create Explosive Chemicals

There are so many cool videos on youtube with stuff blowing up! Those explosions don’t come from anywhere, and sure they’ll list what they are, but where do you buy them? Today we take a closer look on how to produce and create those chemicals use for explosions and Hollywood bombs! Once we have explored all the new chemicals that are displayed, next week we will learn how to use them to create cool explosives!

Acetone

Facts:

Found in nail polish and paint removers, acetone is extremely flammable and toxic to breath.

It auto-ignites at a temperature of 465 °C (869 °F).
Acetone’s flash point of −20 °C (−4 °F) it may explode or cause a flash fire.
It will melt through plastic and dissolve many items
Thought to increase the performance of your car

How to burn it:

Being an alcohol like substance, sticking a match to the liquid or reacting it with metals will create heat or fire!

Where to get it:

You can buy it at any hardware store or local supermarket (as nail polish remover).

Aluminum Powder

Facts:

This nasty substance is used to make thermite, and by its self can create a large flash!

It ignites at a temperature of 465 °C (869 °F).
In the presence of an oxidizer it can heat up.
Mesh-like chunks of it are used for fireworks to create a glitter effect for aerial shell
Burns VERY HOT!

How to burn it:

Any match or spark will set this stuff ablaze. Remember, once you start the reaction, you can’t stop it! Don’t try to put water or anything on it.

Where to get it:

The powder inside a Etch-A-Sketch
Using a file to grind Aluminum
Putting foil into a blender, and setting it on high for 20 minutes
Buy it from a chemical store

Ammonium Nitrate

Facts:

Found in plant fertilizers and all hardware stores!

Ignites with very little effort!
Is a common explosive used in excavation
Is related to many deaths and homemade explosions, so be careful!

How to burn it:

Using a match will do the trick!

Where to get it:

You can buy it at any hardware store or local supermarket. Don’t buy too much though, even if you buy more than a few bags at the hardware store, expect a phone call coming. This stuff is a known explosive!

Isopropyl Alcohol

Facts:

This common household liquid is used for cleaning and disinfecting things.

It ignites with a normal match.
Lights after 399 °C.
Creates a nice red flame!

How to burn it:

Any match or spark will cause a reaction lighting it on fire. A common use for this is breathing fire with your mouth!

Where to get it:

Any store will sell it these days.

Naphthalene

Facts:

This material is used in Hollywood to create those smoke explosion effects!

It ignites with a normal match.
Needs to be compacted with gun powder, toilet paper, epoxy, and Naphthalene to create an explosion.
Creates a big fireball!

How to burn it:

Any match or spark will cause a reaction lighting it on fire. A fuse is required because of the fireball produced by the explosion.

Where to get it:

Any store will sell it these days.

Hydrogen

We have already covered in a long tutorial on how to produce your own hydrogen (and even turn it into a bomb!)

Magnesium

Another tutorial on how to buy and create bombs with this has been made!

Tosh.Fail brings old shit back to life

If you have been watching Comedy Central lately you’ll notice this new show. I’m sure you’re all fans of The Colbert Report and other shows that offer funny awesome news that’s fresh and new. Besides the monotone voice that the host uses, I just can’t stand it. Everything that those writers put up are recent news that was stolen from social media news sites. No thanks.

Why this show sucks:

1: Everyone’s seen those Youtube videos.

2: You copy Failblog, Mashable, and other major blogs.

3: Your audience watches a green screen.

I mean common. We have all seen the dog riding a skate board a million times, why do we need to see it again? Sorry, that was a little rant that I had to get out folks. How To – Homemade Hydrogen Bomb

Look mommy, it goes boom!

Ever wonder what the real hydrogen bomb looks like? Well guess what, you can find out right now and even build it yourself for around twenty bucks. Spend a few hours working on this baby, and you’ll be proud to be known as the neighborhood disruptor. That’s right, we take you into a high definition tutorial on how to build your very own Hydrogen / Oxygen bomb for your backyard. You’ll also need your laptop for this one folks, don’t worry, I promise it’s not safe.

You can choose one, I used the Fuel Cell

Above are the three options you will have when creating this experiment. When I personally did this one, I had a fuel cell which I used from a fuel cell car I received a few years back. I did the same method I’m about to show you, and it works if you’re lucky. But if you’re lucky, you will probably be hearing one of the loudest blasts of your life. I mean this thing is loud like you can’t believe. This four step process will have you making your very own boom’s in a matter of time. I hope you enjoy the fun in making this experiment!

Chemical Reaction Generator for Hydrogen / Oxygen

Materials :

Beer Bottle or bigger
Caustic Soda (General Cleaner)
Half a Cup of Cold Water
Shredded aluminum bits from a can
A Balloon

Setup Instructions:

Put your pieces of aluminum into the can, and cover them slightly with tap water
Place your beer bottle into a nice cool tub of cold water (overheat)
Add the Caustic Soda to the container (using a funnel), and strap the balloon over the top
Let the balloon fill up, and transfer it’s contents to the cranberry bottle underwater.

Electrolysis Generator for Hydrogen / Oxygen

Materials :

A glass jar with a metal top and a plastic water bottle
Two thick screws
Two razor blades
Salt and Water
Wire
Tubes

Setup Instructions:

First, drill three holes for the screws and the tubing to run through
Using electrical tape, join the two razors together, and make sure they don’t touch
Insert the screws through, and run a polarity to a razor (doens’nt matter which)
Run tubing from the top of the jar to to the bottle, and seal with silicon or glue

Where the real fun comes into play

Materials :

Longer plastic tubing
Your hydrogen generator jar
A laptop charger
A Cranberry bottle and a 5 Gallon bucket (best to fit)
A ignition source, such as a rocket fuse and a rocket ignition.

Setup Instructions:

Using your cranberry bottle, install the lighter fuse on the cap by drilling a hole through the top, and running the fuse through the top. Be sure to glue the top so the seal does not leak or the fuse does not get wet
Fill with water and submerge your cranberry bottle (no top) into the water of a bucket, run the hose you have from your hydrogen generator into the bottom of the cranberry bottle.
Make sure that everything is ready to go, and that your hoses are correct.
Attach the two polarities from the laptop charger (it’s only a 12v charger it’s not dangerous) to the sides of the generator jar. Make sure you’re using the laptop charger end that goes into your computer, not the AC wall section.
Bubbles will start to rise from the jar, and fill the tube and push out the water from the cranberry bottle. Wait until your cranberry bottle is full of the hydrogen /oxygen mix.

Materials :

Rocket Fuse Ignition and cable
A Brick
A place to submerge (you don’t have to read below)
Ear Covers

Setup Instructions:

Once you have taken out the bottle from the bucket, attach the lid.
Attach the wire to the fuse.
Tie a brick around the bottle so that it will sink
Submerge your bottle underwater in a pool or pond
Light it.

What’s going on here? This isn’t a real Hydrogen Bomb!

You are separating the H from the O in H2O. Because Hydrogen and pure oxygen are both highly combustive, they will blow up at a very fast speed. When you mix the two gases together you create a even more of a boom. This is the real “Hydrogen Bomb”, except we are doing the splitting of a compound the easy way!

Tips and Safety Precautions:

This is for observation only, do not attempt on your own. I am not responsible for yours or anyone’s actions.
If you don’t submerse the bottle, there is a higher chance of shrapnel flying.
This is very dangerous at all times of the experiment, both gases are highly explosive.
When you transfer the cranberry bottle from the 5 gallon bucket, be sure that no gas escapes. You may use tape to black the exit while you screw on the top including the fuse.
The fuse needs to stay dry! I was lucky when it took underwater, but you might not be. Make sure that your fuse is good and ready to go.
Don’t add more fuses as the ignition won’t light more then one (not enough current).
The total cost for this experiment is around 10-20$ where most of the money goes to the ignition.

But, there are some still out there that have not reach the common internets. Today I will share some with you, that I personally have experimented with and still feel shame for today. They are easy, practical, and the best part; fun. Rather you look at the large shiny pictures made just for you, or you could read the tutorial and spread these pranks in the name of Bored to Hell. Infact, do just that. Tell all your friends about the button.

Making a Vasonob

Vaseline and Doorknobs are in love.

Materials:

Vaseline
Guts

Steps

1: Raid your mothers closet and find a nice bottle of Vaseline.

2: Pack that nice bottle to school with you, and take it into the bathroom (no don’t think that).

3: Scoop a large chunk of Vaseline into both hands, covering your hand with about quarter inch thick.

4: Walk around touching door knobs, knowing that people will touch those and think “WTF”?

5: You’re an asshole!

Portable Sink Bomb

Materials:

Mayonnaise
Milk
Egg Yolk
Mini M&M Container Empty
Alka-Seltzer

Steps

1: Mix the first three ingredients into a bowl, and poor the contents into a empty M&M Bottle.

2: Let the bottle sit in the sun for a day or so, or until you’re happy with it’s smell.

3: Pack it to school with you and find your victim(s).

4: Stealthy, put a pill of Alka-Seltzer into the container, and leaver it on the floor.

5: Run away, far away for that little container is going to hurl!

The Needle Prick Trick

Materials:

Vending Machine
Being a Dickhead
A Dulled Sewing Needle

Steps

1: Bring a rather large dulled sewing needle to school or anywhere you want to place it.

2: Stick it in the money return slot for change in a vending machine

3: Put change inside the return slot, something good to attract people. Oh, and leave it open.

4: Sit back, and relax! Just remember that you’re a prick.

The Real Cotton Candy Prank

Materials:

Bag of Cotton Candy (use the original)
Cotton Balls
Ziploc Bag or Original Bag

Steps

1: Gently rip apart each cotton ball so that you have a big pillow of it. Repeat for the cotton candy.

2: Now, combine both of them, compressing and rolling them to fit into the bag.

3: Take that baggy to school and each some in front of your friends (be choosy of candy only)

4: Offer them some, and enjoy their faces.
