That comes from the bottom of my heart.  Seriously!  All though it’s a nice day off from work (it was hard even to post this), people still have things to grumble about.  If you even Google “Labor Day”, you’ll find news talking about the depressing fact that people have to think about their jobs during this recession.  What bullshit.


Your Labor Day Checklist:

  • Pick up some stakes and have a family BBQ
  • Help a neighbor out with some networking
  • Go to the beach
  • Get drunk
  • Ride in your car and blast music


Some Labor Day Facts:

  • In September 1892, union workers in New York City took an unpaid day off and gathered in Union Square to support the holiday.
  • The labor movement is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers.
  • President Cleveland made a campaign promise to enact the holiday to win votes and he followed through with his promise.
